de Terra Deorum

About us

My name is Christodoulos Kampanis. I am an M.Sc. Computer Engineer, a husband, a father, and above all, a man deeply devoted to the German Shepherd Dog.

Breeding German Shepherds is not my profession and not my source of income. It is my passion, my responsibility, and my personal way of contributing to the future of this extraordinary breed.

Our philosophy

Our motto is simple: we breed only when we believe that a combination can move our vision one step forward. You will not find puppies available from us every year. We do not live through dogs. We live for dogs, and for doing this hobby correctly.

Every litter must have a clear purpose. We study bloodlines, character, health, anatomy, working ability, and the long-term value that a dog can bring to the breed. Our females are paired only with males that we believe belong among the best representatives of the German Shepherd Dog worldwide.

For us, official requirements are not a discussion point. HD, ED, DNA, working titles, show results, and all necessary breeding preconditions must be completed first. Only after our dogs prove that they meet the required standards can they become part of our breeding program.

Achievements

A small kennel with high standards

Akira de Terra Deorum

Akira de Terra Deorum

In the very first litter of my career as a hobby breeder, we achieved something exceptional: Akira de Terra Deorum became a VA-1 dog. For me, this was not only a result. It was proof that a small kennel, when guided by knowledge, patience, and vision, can produce quality at the highest level.

Brando de Terra Deorum

Brando de Terra Deorum

Already in our second litter, we produced Brando de Terra Deorum, who was recognized as the best German Shepherd Dog in 2018 by the Kynological Club of Greece. This achievement strengthened our belief that responsible selection, serious preparation, and love for the breed can create outstanding results.

Who we are

I share my life with my wife, Maja Hohenester, and our son. Family, professional responsibility, and dogs are central parts of who I am. My background as a computer engineer has shaped the way I think: structured, analytical, careful, and always focused on long-term results rather than short-term impressions.

This is exactly how I approach breeding. Every decision must have a reason. Every combination must serve a vision. Every dog must be respected not only as a potential show or breeding animal, but first as a living soul, a companion, and a member of our family.

de Terra Deorum is not built on quantity. It is built on quality, responsibility, love, and the ambition to honor the German Shepherd Dog at the highest possible level.
